Tracey Emin's art, in fact, has come to Florence, more precisely to Palazzo Strozzi, in an exhibition of an exceptional character curated by Arturo Galansino, Director General of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi. And in a sense, it can already be said, after this exhibition the city will never be the same again. The emotional and artistic scope of "Sex and Solitude," the body of 60 works that traces different moments in the career of the British artist, which in 1999 was a huge media success for the Turner Prize nominee and the work My Bed, exhibited at the Tate Gallery in London.

Matter and meaning: from neon to painting to tapestries. In Tracey Emin, the intimacy of the body, desire, and sex become symbols and metaphors for telling and recounting. What starts, leaves or finds life in the fusion of bodies, in fact, is but a lens to retrace the meaning of events and happenings, of illness, of deaths, of absence...of love.
