From April 12th to July 14th 2022 the multifunctional complex in Florence "Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino", designed by architect Paolo Desideri, will host the eighty-fourth edition of the prestigious opera event.
Three months of intense events, 6 operas and 10 concerts, which will also open the theatre to the theme of remembrance: celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Renata Tebaldi, the famous Italian soprano. The world-famous international "Diva" of the opera of the 1950s, considered one of the best-loved opera singers of all time and an acclaimed interpreter of Verdi and Puccini.
A two-day event will be dedicated to her, on 21st and May 22nd, as part of the Florentine event "Renata Tebaldi: being a diva in the 1950s", a conference organised by Giancarlo Landini and Giovanni Vitali. An event with free admission, subject to availability, compliant with COVID-19 regulations, celebrating the woman and the Diva. During the evening of the first day a documentary produced by Rai Cultura "Vissi d'arte", realized by Marta Teodoro and Elisabetta Foti, will be proposed in preview at the Foyer.
