Spring: the season of blossoms, of the first warmth, of days tinged with blue and sunsets that turn from pink to orange and "sink" into the Arno making the historic center of Florence a postcard view.
Spring the season when good cheer always reigns, the city awakens from the winter cold, bicycles run sped on the cobblestones of the squares in Oltrarno, the squares come alive with young people from all over the world who bring music, life and hope to the downtown air.
Spring, then: perhaps the best time to enjoy the wonders of Florence, without an excessive load of tourism-more likely in summer-and at the slow pace of a human-scale, sustainable tourism that really gets people to know and explore the artistic and architectural wonders of the area.
But what to do in Springtime in Florence?
First of all, you might think of visiting an exhibition that is said to be really unmissable, reported and promoted in recent months by institutional bodies, influencers, and contemporary art experts.

For those looking for the spirit of traditions and the authenticity of old village celebrations, we also suggest not to miss the customary bursting of the float - on Easter morning - which involves musicians, flag-wavers and figurants in a very evocative folkloric moment for the community (it is a festival-emblem of Florentine-ness) that takes place in the Piazza del Duomo among choreography and fireworks.
Plus, local craft, food and beverage, and flower markets scattered throughout the spring weekends among the various town squares.
