Did you know that the cradle of the Renaissance, the world-famous Tuscan diamond, can also be...taken home? This may sound unbelievable to you, but trust me...it is possible!
Thanks to some truly precious objects - to call them simply souvenirs would do a disservice to the great work of craftsmanship and passion behind them - you will be able to put a little bit of Florence inside the rooms of your home as well, scents, flavors and snapshots to relive when you are away, perhaps during a bad winter day. As for the former, first of all, we recommend that you take a walk among the wonderful and charming goldsmith stores in the Ponte Vecchio area. Between craftsmanship, precision trades and the rays of sunshine that give themselves to the calm of the Arno River, you can find in this part of the center all that magic typical of postcards.

If we talk about ceramics, how can the Renaissance and the Della Robbia brothers not come to mind? Florence is full of little enameled, decorated, sometimes hidden jewels to enjoy discovering among the palaces, churches and squares of the historic center. And while you clearly can't just pick up a piece and take it home, what we recommend is to visit a few craft workshops where you can find plates, salt shakers, and small objects for the home that have all the flavor of traditional Tuscan ceramics.

Among the many possible objects and souvenirs, how come you thought of...paper? You might ask that question, indeed. However...if you had ever had the good fortune to be able to observe the uniqueness of Florentine craftsmanship, with the typical marbling technique, and if you could have had the preciousness of the papers in question at hand...the answer would come to you.
Anything that has to do with stationery, or with binding, and then inkwells, waxes, bookmarks... finds in Florence a little enchanted realm.
If you walk through the streets of the center, you will not infrequently come across small stores that, upon entering them, you will feel as if you are losing yourself in distant universes and worlds, where every display case has an unforgettable charm.

In short, Florence can never be encapsulated in a single image, no matter how spectacular. Or in a catch phrase, in a simple thought. But you can keep it with you for a long time, thanks in part to the magic of craftsmen and professionals whose knowledge and passion have made our city great all over the world, from antiquity to the present day.
