King's Nights: comfortable rest at Palazzo Castri

Our overnight stay at Palazzo Castri was really comfortable. Very often in hotels there is that feeling of uncomfortableness and unfamiliarity, the famous "hotel sickness" that can even cause anxiety and bad rest. Not all accommodations, in fact, are able to make the guest feel at home.

We often hear of "cold," distance-creating, unwelcoming or transient hotels where one does not even take the time to create a relationship with the surrounding spaces that it is already time to leave.

The first point in favor of the Palazzo Castri, it must be said, is this absolutely affordable size: one never has the feeling of being too small, nor crowded, inside the hotel: the excellent and reasoned arrangement of the furnishings-even in the rooms-has the advantage of giving the right amount of breathing room and real freedom in movement to the guests.

And these are no small details, but big plus points especially for those who seek in their stay a time of extreme tranquility and relaxation.

Room:

The room at Palazzo Castri in which we had the opportunity to stay overnight was a classic room: welcoming colors and tones, functional furnishings but with a touch of refinement that is always appreciated, and the first impression, that famous glimpse as soon as you open the door, could only be positive. A comfortable and practical desk, the double bed (there is, of course, also the possibility of having two single beds if requested), the soundproof windows with a view of Brunelleschi's dome and the beautiful internal garden of the structure complete the frame of pleasantness and satisfaction that makes the mood of the customer...sky-high.

In addition, the bedroom furniture also provides four hypoallergenic, soft and natural pillows: two made of down and two made of ROLLO Fill material^® HP.

The bedroom closet is roomy in size and is well structured to hold both hanging garments and items you want to place on shelves or in drawers.

A small safe and the convenient (excellently stocked!) mini-bar make a good case for how attention to detail and customer needs are, in Palazzo Castri's philosophy, two cornerstones of hospitality.

Bathroom:

Certainly the toilet is among the greatest pluses of the solution designed for our hotel night: a dramatic blue light, in fact, illuminates the shower with rainfall showerhead. The bathroom features fine toiletries from the La Limonaia di Firenze line by Palazzo Castri 1874.

The bathroom, comfortable for two people, is extremely clean, with attention to detail and matching towels that are soft to the touch.

The temperature of the water, as well as that of the room, is well regulated, and when you let yourself indulge on the pillow, after a day of pleasure but also of several miles of walking through the streets of downtown Florence, the sensation of perceived comfort and relaxation is truly irresistible.

One night...really Good:

Before going to bed, however, we could not help but turn one last glance at the wonder of the contours of Florence's historic monuments that seem to come alive in the dark of night.

Brunelleschi's Dome, so immaculate and terse, looms within an inch of its life from the window. The silence of such an ancient city, fascinating and shrouded in a veil of mystery, acts as a blanket to a restful and conciliatory sleep.

Blackout curtains, when closed, do not let through the slightest reflection of light so as to accommodate all those who have trouble falling asleep due to excessive light pollution.

And just about the quality of sleep, what pleasantly amazed us about the overnight stay at Palazzo Castri was the comfort of the bed system.

Bed base, mattress, and accessories are first-rate: ergonomic and breathable, the mattress does not sink in too much with the weight of the body nor does it remain too rigid, creating a feeling of discomfort or discomfort for the shoulders and back.

The pillows are specially designed to maintain proper posture while resting, and the bedding has an appropriate heaviness to enjoy a beneficial and fulfilling rest.

The quality of rest: a more than approved review!

One of the first parameters for evaluating hotel facilities, if you read the reviews of the millions of travelers scattered across portals around the world, is precisely the quality of rest.

Strange to imagine, isn't it? One might think perhaps more intuitively of the food, the furnishings, the friendliness of the staff. But no...away from home-whether it's for a leisure vacation or a business weekend-customers want, first and foremost, a good night's sleep.
